INSTRUCTORS BIO

Sensei Michael Toms is the owner and head instructor at
Toms' Martial Arts. He has been training for 17 Years, grading under 3 Time Candian Champion, Master Rick Joslin of Joslin's Mixed Martial Arts in Hamilton, Ontario.

He passed for his First Degree Blackbelt in 1997, then for his Second Degree Black Belt in 1999, for his Third Degree Black Belt in 2002 and just recently passed for Fourth Degree Black Belt in 2009.

Sensei Toms has won a total of 14 World Titles, as well as winning many National and Regional tournament Championships. He has been accepted into the National Blackbelt League Hall of Fame, and has appeared in Kiai Magazine and also in Sport Karate International Magazine. Sensei Toms' goal is to produce top quality well rounded students within his dojo.
Sensei Wendy Disalvo graded for her Blackbelt in 2008 under Sensei Michael Toms. She has competed in many high level tournaments including the World Games in Mexico. She has also won the overall grand champion award at the SMAC Internationals in 2008. Sensei Disalvo is a valued member of our team and continues to pass on her knowledge and experience to other students.
